The outer diameter measures 1" with a segment height of 3/8", a segment thickness of 1/8", and a laser welded grooved turbo segment style. These same materials are used in car pistons and disc car brakes. This 1" industrial dry core bit is designed for drilling hard, reinforced concrete with #4 #5 mesh and rebar using grooved segments. Our laser welded segments have the highest concentration of diamond particles per segment in the industry, aiding with embedded steel aggregates in concrete and block and masonry walls. The thread size is 5/8"-11, and the bond to core is double laser welded on the inner and outer parts. Made of semi-metallic, ceramic materials such as copper, steel, graphite, and brass bonded with resin, our core bits have a soft bond for hard materials with high psi ratios while controlling heat. The matrix hardness is a soft bond for hard materials with embedded steel, and the core travel is 10".
