This is a home-made generator set. The generating head is from Northern Tool. It sells for about $900+tax+shipping. It is brushless and is rated at 10,000 watt surge & 9500 watt continuous. It has heavy armature bearings and is suitable to operate with V-belts. Instead of using belts I opted for the efficiency and simplicity of direct drive, using an extra-heavy-duty LoveJoy coupling. It is powered by an industrial duty Wisconsin two cylinder gasoline engine rated at 3600 r.p.m. This generator set was originally manufactured in 1964 for the Army. The original generator head went bad so I replaced it with this modern one. The engine has magneto ignition and electric start or crank start with included crank. It has a large cartridge type fuel filter and bypass oil filter. The air cleaner is an oil bath type and the engine is completely shuttered with thermostatically controlled actuation. It runs perfectly. This is for local pickup only. Thank you for looking. My wife is unable to start/maintain/move this very heavy and large generator set so I bought a smaller unit that she can use in my absence.
