Heavy duty, industrial design, Ex-military 10KW or 10,000 Watt diesel generator powered by a 4 cylinder, air cooled, electric start, 1800 rpm(low rpm), high quality Onan DJF diesel engine. Engine has excellent fuel filtration. Excellent generator for OFF GRID use. This generator has full instrumentation including: hour meter(unit has 5.5 hrs. -unit good for 10,000hrs.), oil pressure, amp meter(d.c. charging system), cycles(hertz), voltage, percent load, panel lights. The generator end is a brushless design with all heavy copper windings and solid state voltage regulator. This generator has a 200% motor starting capability(surge) which is really good for well pumps, refrigeration, air conditioning, welders, machine tools and construction tools. This unit CANNOT be compared to portable units which only give you a 10-15% surge. This unit has the following output at single phase(60HZ): 120volts at 104 amps or 240 volts at 52 amps. Voltage range at 1 phase is from 110 volts to 250 volts. Because this unit is a 12 lead generator, at the turn of a rotary switch it will reconnect to three phase and have the following output: 120 volts at 60 amps or 208volts at 34 amps. Voltage range at 3 phase is from 110-250 volts. The unit is rated 10KW(10,000watts) at 5000 feet, as you decrease altitude output increases. Unit has power distribution leg terminals and a 120 volt duplex convenience receptacle. There is a 3 pole in-line breaker. Unit has been serviced (all filters are available at Napa) and load tested. Unit has new starting batteries. Unit weighs 1300 lbs. and has a heavy duty lifting eye. Model of unit is MEP-003A, s/n RZ83147. Unit is equipped with glow plugs-starts well at about 10 degrees F below zero. Govt. cost of this unit was $13,000.00+. There is an auxiliary mounted fuel tank on front of trailer. Generator has always been inside or covered. Buyer pays for shipping or picks up unit- will assist with loading. The M103 was introduced in the 1950s as a base for trailers matched to the M-series trucks with 9:00x20 tires. The M103A3 (introduced in 1977) was equipped with dual line air/hydraulic brakes, an improvement over the single line of earlier variants. A mechanical parking brake is provided along with an automatic emergency brake. I have always kept tires covered when outside they are in excellent shape as is the overall condition of the trailer.
