1920s Art Deco Backbar The piece comes from the 1920s and has quite a history!  It was originally used in the bar room of the St. Louis Hotel, one of the most popular hotels in Duluth, Minnesota.  The back bar was removed prior to the hotel being demolished in 1932.  It was then used in the BayView Tavern in Ashland, Wisconsin for many years.  The tavern became an antique store in the late 1980s and the backbar became a fixture in the store.  The antique store was closed several years ago and the piece was put in private storage.  Until now! The backbar measures 14' 9" long by 8' 6" tall.  It is very solid - made of mahogany and rosewood.  It appears the finish is original with a nice honey colored patina.  It features recessed art deco lighting and multiple upper and lower glass display cases.  The center features an ornate mirror with two side mirrors behind glass shelves.   This architechural historic beauty is suited for many applications and ready to be re-purposed back to life!  Uses include hotels, bars, restaurants, theaters, spas, cigar or wine parlors, breweries, coffee shops or private resident entertainment rooms!   The backbar is located in Ashland, Wisconsin.  It can be picked up from that location or shipping could be negotiated and arranged.
