HAJOCA Corporation, Philadelphia, PA SHIPBUILDING TALK A GLOSSARY OF SHIPBUILDING TERMS "Serving America's Shipbuilders Since Trans-Atlantic Liners Were Side Wheelers" Second Edition 1943 ____________________________ This listing is for an original 1943 booklet - pamphlet from Hajoca published during World War II.  There is an introduction with brief history of the company, then...."the company has evolved into one of the Nation's important distributors of marine supplies, castings, valves, pipe, steam specialties, plumbing and heating systems - a development paralleling America's industrial expansion. Today these production facilities are being used extensively in supplying the requirements of shipyards and other wartime plants working for all-out victory. Hajoca's Brass Works in Lansdowne, PA and its large iron foundries at Landale, PA and Quakertown, PA are operating on an around-the-clock basis, turning out brass, bronze and iron castings for many urgent national needs. The Corporation is likewise distributing many other items of Marine supplies through its ten Marine branches along the Eastern Seaboard."  The company started around 1858 and is still in existence today. Inside is a listing of terms in alphabetical order mixed in with black and white photos and illustrations, ads, etc. Measures 3.5" by 7.75" and contains 48 pages plus the cover, softcover with stapled binding.  Condition is Good for age. Minor marks here and there but really, it looks like prior owner kept this paper in storage all these years because there is no handwriting, no water or moisture stains, no rips.  Nice paper collectible from Hajoca Corporation and the WWII years.  Date on title page at bottom 1943.
