2002 Woodsman Model 250 Wood Saw The Woodsman model 250 cordwood saw will go anywhere your tractor will go, quickly, easily, and conveniently by attaching it to a 3-point hitch onto the back of a smaller farm tractor that runs of a 540 rpm PTO. This buzz saw uses a standard telescoping PTO shaft. The 3-Point hitch pins on this buzz saw are Category 1. If your tractor uses a different pin size, you can easily replace the pins on this buzz saw by removing the nut holding the pins in place and installing your size. Different size pins are available at most farm stores and farm equipment dealers. The 40" long x 10.5" wide table moves into the blade cutting the wood and has a automatic spring loaded table return. The depth of cut is 12". The buzz saw 30" diameter blade is held in place by a large nut. Replacement blades are available and a extra blade is included. There are (2) 5/8" belts that drive the buzz saw from the big pulley on the gearbox to the smaller pulley on the buzz saw blade shaft. This change in pulley size is how the buzz saw gets its blade speed up from 540 PTO rpm to around 1300 rpm blade speed. The blade does have a ring type noise when the blade is turning at 1300 rpms. The belt tension of this buzz saw is quickly and easily adjusted, much like a chainsaw chain is tighten on a chainsaw. The type of belts that are used are readily available at most auto parts stores. The rugged heavy duty steel frame is 38” x 44” x 44” and the weight of the saw is 275 pounds. Included is a combination paper copy of a owners manual, assembly instruction and parts list for the Woodsman model 250 wood saw.

“The Woodsman PTO wood saw is in good condition. The saw is fully operational. There is some surface rust, dents, nicks, scratches and missing paint from use age. The left corner off the table is bent slightly down but does not affect the operation of the saw. Both front legs were bent then straighten due to not raising the saw high enough when moving it. The front legs are still bent slightly but does not effect the operation because the saw still set level. The belts, bearings, and driveshaft u-joints are all in good shape. Both 30" saw blades will need to be sharpen.”
