You are bidding on 25 Pieces of 5/8" Diameter 1040 Grade Cold Rolled Steel similar to the pieces in the pictures.   This is a Great Price for Around 7 feet of this high quality MADE IN THE USA steel!!  1040 round bar can be characterized as a medium carbon grade steel. 1040 round bar is commonly used for working cold steel into a variety of components, as well as machined into cold finished parts. 1040 steel bar may also be hot or cold forged to produce a wide range of finished products. 1040 round bar is often used in general engineering applications where better strength than that of a more mild carbon grade is required. Each piece is around 3 1/4" to 3 3/4" long and has a sharpened end on one side. These are remnant pieces from a screw machine operation.  These pieces have many uses; such as Blacksmithing, landscaping, gardens, farms, construction, etc... Or the material can be machined into many different parts. Some uses of 1040 steel include Blacksmith tools, punches, forgings, crankshafts, couplings, cold-headed parts; machine, plow, and carriage bolts, tie wires, cylinder head studs, U bolts, concrete reinforcing rods, non-critical springs, and much more.   These pieces have many possible uses!!!
