Neuronavigation system (NeNa) from Brain Science Tools (BST) 3-D magnetic position tracker device with all necessary components for use Used in only 30 experiments, like-new condition The position tracking device digitizes 3D position and orientation of a hand held or TMS coil mounted probe at a rate of 100Hz. It adopts a weak pulsed DC magnetic field generated by a small emitter, and uses magnetic induction in the probe to determine its location and orientation. The spatial accuracy is better than 1 mm within a range of ~1m from the transmitter. Magnetic position tracking is not plagued by line-of-sight obstructions as camera based systems are. Trackng is not distorted by steel objects or wires, and can therefore also be used to track TMS coils. The tracking unit operates in a stand-alone case, with its own power supply, and connects to the PC or laptop through a USB port. The latter implies that the navigation software in combination with the tracker unit can be operated from a laptop, greatly increasing mobility. The complete navigation setup fits in a regular sized suitcase, including the laptop, tracking unit and optional head support, which makes it ideal for bed-side investigations.
