I originally purchased this griddle for a food concession business that was to be located in a mall food court that required an electric griddle. I was able to secure a mobile food concession unit, which required a gas griddle, and as such, didn't need this one anymore. This was in working condition at the time of my purchase, and remained in a dry storage location. I completely cleaned this griddle, since when it was delivered, it was encrusted with old grease, and carbon, and I sealed the griddle's cooking surface with cooking oil so that it won't corrode. The front and sides are stainless steel, while the top, and the back are not. I think that  this could serve a small restaurant very well for many years to come.
