B3D presents the iExtrude, a benchtop filament extruder which features high quality electronics to collect useful data and produce filament in a lab or education setting. This machine has been tested and successfully holds tolerances of +/-.1 mm on proper extrusion grade materials. All testing is performed with high quality dual axis laser measuring systems. The iExtrude allows for excellent entry level data collection and gives the user the opportunity to test various grades of polymers which may exist in limited amounts. This is a fantastic tool for engineering labs due to the amount of data collection available to the User. This is a fantastic tool to test varying grades of already compounded materials.
