The assembly test cocks are handle-less and operate through a tamper-resistant actuator. Prior to purchasing this product, ensure that you check the approvals necessary in your state or area. The assembly features a single full access service port and cover with an "inline" replaceable elastomer seal. The shutoff valves include pre-wired supervisory tamper switches held in a weatherproof actuator housing that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The Deringer 20 Double Check Valve Assembly serves as an effective barrier against potential pollutants that can enter the potable water supply system as a result of backpressure and/or backsiphonage conditions. The Deringer 20 Double Check (DC) valve utilizes two independent Dual Action Check modules and two integral resiliently seated shut-off valves within a single rigid valve housing constructed entirely of 304 stainless steel. The Dual Action Check modules operate as a "poppet style" check under low flow conditions, act as a "swing style" check under high flow conditions, and use replaceable silicone elastomer sealing discs. It can be serviced without special tools and is approved for both horizontal and vertical applications.
