Up for auction is a group of 6 (plus extras if available) heritage Barred Rock NPIP and Ky Proud certified chicken hatching eggs. Barred Rock are a wonderfully hardy, dual purpose breed. Our birds are selected for broad bodies and tight, narrow barring. They are very docile and friendly. Please note, effective May 31, 2015 the USPS requires an additional shipping fee of $10.35 for any box marked as being fragile or having special handling instructions, such as "handle with care." If you would like to pay an additional $10.35 to have a fragile label, please contact us. Otherwise we will unfortunately not label the box as being fragile. US Domestic shipping only. We carefully ship only the freshest eggs (3 days old max) from birds that have been fertility and hatch rate checked on our farm. Purchasing and shipping hatching eggs is a risk that the buyer assumes entirely. The USPS does not offer guarantees on their handling or shipping times when shipping USPS Priority, therefore we cannot guarantee these either. Any problems with shipping or handling will require the buyer to file a claim with USPS. Rough handling during shipment can keep fertile eggs from developing; an egg can be fertile when it leaves the farm but the air sac be damaged during shipping so that it does not develop. Feedback should be left after the eggs’ arrival, NOT after incubating. We recommend letting your eggs sit for 12 hours after shipping before incubating. Also, the buyer's incubating, hatching, and rearing practices are out of control and therefore not our liability. We can offer no guarantees or assurances of any kind related to the shipping, incubating, hatching, or rearing of hatching eggs or their progeny.
