Ruggedness is provided by the lightweight body made of Xenoy and a high impact polycarbonate lens. The ABS shroud with O-Ring sealed opening makes it water-resistant. The sure-grip vinyl sheath resists chemical and extreme temperatures making sure it's not just your fair weather friend. Pelican had another bright idea in using a hi-pressure Halogen lamp that generates a powerful, bright white light. They even made the 7050 Black Knight on/off button big enough to use with gloves. Remember the extreme temperature thing? They weren't kidding. The fast charger fully charges the Nicad battery stick in 2 to 3 hours, preparing the M9 for a full day's work. This is just another Pelican Black Night perk, making it so it's ready when you are.
