The jaw width is 5.00" and the jaw opening is 5" with a depth of 1 1/2". The thrust collar has a needled bearing and the vise bed is cast from 80,000 lb. ductile iron. The sliding surface of the vise bed is flame hardened and ground with lock down jaws. This vise is designed to eliminate jaw tilt and induce downward force with every pound of force in a horizontal direction. It is square and parallel to within .002". The 5" Precision Milling Machine Vise with Swivel Base is now available! This vise is perfect for pipefitters and gunsmiths and can be used with or without the swivel base.
