I  raise these birds here in Northern Idaho with only good shelter, so don't think these birds are frail. ALL my birds are PIED or Split PIED!  Happy Hatching! Cindy, 208-660-3730! Peafowl eggs have their highest hatch rates at 8 to 10 days old just for information published by UC Davis University. I like them a little fresher than that for incubation and I only ship eggs 48 hours old or less, 3 days in shipping and resting them for at least 12 hours after shipping pointy end down, your good to go! Eggs are carefully wrapped and double boxed. Hens lay an egg every other day and it is typical for a hen to march in with 5 to 8 chicks from eggs left exposed to the weather and elements (rain, heat, cold, ect) in a dirt nest! These eggs are tough. Do the math.  You can also breed Pied to Pied and only get 50% theoretically pied chicks. Cameo Pied eggs will be marked CP, all others are Blue/Silver Pieds.
