The Storm 840 is designed as a less expensive model that includes the PhosphorImager technology and chemifluorescence. The Storm 840 is field upgradeable to a Storm 860 by adding the capability for red-excited fluorescence. A photographic technique used to localize a radioactive substance within a solid specimen; also known as radioautography. A photographic emulsion is placed in contact with the object to be tested and is left for several hours, days, or as a core imaging technique. By offering autoradiography capability plus the two new non-radioactive techniques for gels and blots, the Storm system provides a powerful transition path for labs that are under pressure to reduce radioisotope radioisotope   Terms and Conditions   Item is sold as is, where is with no warranty, implied or expressed. Shipping and Handling Buyers unable to pick up items may arrange pick up of item located in Taunton, MA by a contracted carrier (i.e. Federal Express, UPS). Buyer is responsible for all packaging costs prior to shipment. Any International shipment will incur a customs document processing fee of $25.00.  No exceptions. All oversized items required to be palletized will incur a $75.00 per pallet charge.
