Autumn Farm Orpingtons Pure English Silver Laced Orpingtons We are offering 8 (eight) Pure English Silver Laced Orpington hatching eggs. Our Pure English Silver Laced Orpingtons are an extremely rare color and a new color. Beautiful, super fluffy, large, round, wide and gentle describes these wonderful chickens. Our Silver Laced Orpingtons were directly imported from Keith's Orpingtons by Mr. Bob Follows of England, who created this new color in the late 1990's. This color is considered a new color even in England. There are no standards established for this color. Skin color can vary from white, black and yellow. White skin is the acceptable goal. Bob and Keith have made developments to further improve each generation. The Silver Laced Orpington still needs a lot of time and dedication to improve on the lacing. Lacing can range from perfection to a "smutty" appearance. Coloring should be white with crisp black edging with no brown in the coloring. Their feathers should be a solid black with no greying. These Silvers are exceptionally large chickens. Our hens are not known to be broody and are excellent mothers. We are well into our 3rd generation breeding this color. We've blended the bloodline of Orpingtons Galore to add diversity to our gene pool. Heating pack can be added if needed. CAUTION: PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BID......We Want Your eggs to hatch and we do everything possible to see that they get to you safely. EVERY PRECAUTION GOES INTO ENSURE YOUR EGGS ARE PROPERLY PACKAGED....WE BUBBLE WRAP EACH EGG AND DOUBLE BOX EACH SHIPMENT. These eggs are gathered the day of shipment for the freshest eggs. The eggs we use for shipping are the same eggs we gather from our hens for hatching live chicks for us, so fertility testing is done weekly. This is a one time shipment to you for fertile hatching eggs. We do not have an unlimited supply of Silver Laced hatching eggs. Please do not ask for replacement eggs. Once the eggs leave this facility we do not have control over things such as postal handling, x-ray and many different incubating variables such as temperature, humidity, turning techniques and incubator types etc....we cannot guarantee your hatch rate, we cannot guarantee every egg is fertile. We recommend that you use a high quality, tested incubator with an automatic egg turner. We do not replace any hatching eggs...this is a one time purchase for hatching our fertile eggs. We always recommend overnight shipping through the post office for an extra cost. We have found that the Orpingtons Galore bloodlines do produce some Delaware Orpington color.
