This knife truly is a one-of-a-kind beauty. There is only ONE (1) knife like this in the world, and it could be yours. Here's the story: Dexter Russell has teamed up with knife designer, Adam Simha to create a new line of knifes. This series of knives is designed to embody the evolution in American cuisine. The result combines the best of the world's cutlery. This particular knife  is a prototype that was  created during the process.  This is the only knife like it, no others exist. Extraordinary Sharp Edges Sleek Lines and Profile Proprietary DEXSTEEL, a High-Carbon, High-Alloy Stainless Steel Blade The Comfort of Hand-Finished Wooden Handle Unique 9.5 Inch Blade Overall Knife Length: 14.5 Inches Unique Mosaic Pin in the Middle Brass Compression Rivet Fully Forged (3) Brass Compression Rivets Contoured Brass Bolster Superior Rocking Motion Thin Heel to Meet Today's Modern Standards and Reduce the Weight Made in the USA Visit www.dexter1818.com and look up the Heritage collection. You will see that this new knife retails for $255.60 and has either Bubinga or Maple and Box Elder burl. The prototype I am selling does NOT have either of those 2 handles.  It is made of what looks like to me to be Box Elder w/o the burl finish. Also, the finished product has an 8-Inch Long Blade.  The prototype  is  larger at 9.5 inches long. I guess there were changes made during the creation process. But, that makes the knife even more unique. This knife is stamped "factory Seconds" for obvious reasons. It has some "cosmetic" flaws. These flaws will not affect the integrity of the knife. The knife edge is perfect and the handles are solid, however the brass bolster is a little tarnished as are the rivets and the wood is a little blemished. A little sand paper and mineral oil should take care of that. Other than that, this knife is a great. Here is your chance to own a beautiful, one-of-a-kind knife at a fraction of the cost!
