1913 or 1914 Advance-Rumely Threshing Machinery catalog Older Reprint from the 1970s NOS !  just removed from shipping box These were a One Time Only reprint order. When They're Gone They're Gone ! I was given a partial box of these to try to sell for an old family friend who used to have an Advance Rumely Steam Traction Engine in the 1970s 80s and early 90s. When he handed them to me he commented on them being Antiques themselves as they are over 40 years old now.  He had them reprinted himself in the early 1970s from an original catalog that he owned and they are NOT available anywhere else  unless someone else steps up and reprints another batch of them or you're lucky enough to happen to stumble across one that he sold back in the 1970s or early 80s. They are very nice high quality reprints with heavy card-stock covers which are lightly embossed. The pages are top of the line heavy weight magazine quality glossy paper, Not the cheaper newspaper type. Having been boxed up for 40+ years in stacks of ten alternating side to side in the box they do have a slight bend about an inch and a half from the spine, but they aren't creased or anything so they should flatten out again quite nicely. Due to being copied from an original 1913-1914 catalog having some dirt or light oil staining on the cover, that copied over into the reprints as shown in the pictures. They measure 8 1/4 by 11 inches with 52 pages of detailed information. I couldn't find a date anywhere in them other than the Foreword page mentioning them having Eighty Years Experience and having the numbers AD 816-808 inside the back cover which I thought might be August 1916, but when I posted the question on the SmokStak website I got the response that it would be from 1913 or 1914 due to having the Flat Spoke Rumely engines in them and the Trademark Logo on the back cover showing the Advance and Rumely logos side by side with the Advance-Rumely name below them indicating that it was early in the merger of the two companies. The same guy also noted that the Advance Engine shown was the forerunner of the Advance Rumely Universal which came out in 1915 so it would pre-date that. It includes information on Advance Rumely steam engines, Advance boilers and engine construction, Advance Compound engines, 20 22 & 26hp Advance engines, Rumely boilers and engine construction single & double cylinder, 16 & 20hp Rumely singles and 16 & 20hp Rumely doubles, Rumely ideal Separators, Advance Rumely Separators, 15-30 OilPull, Rumely Ideal Junior Separator, Rumely Rice Separators, Feeders & Stackers etc., Rumely fuel and water tanks, 30-60 OilPull, Rumely Clover and Alfalfa Hullers, Advance Husker-Shredder, Rumely Tractor Plows with and lift and power lift, and Engine Disc Plows. While not shown IN the catalog, the last page mentions the Advance Rumely line also including Stationary and Portable Steam Engines, Stationary and Portable Gasoline Engines, Stationary and Portable Kerosene Engines, and Sawmills. The catalog shows an OilPull pulling a road grader, but only briefly mentions it and doesn't list it as being one of theirs. There is information on both coal burning and straw burning boilers as well as loads of information on the engine frames, cylinders, valves, piston & crosshead, connecting rods, crankshaft & dick, traction gearing, axle bracket and hollow axle, friction clutch, Marsh reverse gear, Advance compound engine, pillow block and intermediate gear bracket, cleanouts, boiler tubes, boiler jackets, drive wheels, front wheels, flywheel, Arnold Reverse mechanism, cylinders concaves and grates on the separators, different feeders and stackers and grain handling attachments including the Herald Weigher or Register, the Heyran Weigher, the Dakota Loader, the Iowa Loader, and the Low Down Bagger. Selling AS IS based on pictures & description. They are NOS reprints from the 1970s which have been boxed up for over 40 years. Payment to be in U.S. Currency through PayPal unless picking up in person. Shipping will be a Flat Rate of $2.75 within the continental United States with me eating the difference. If you buy more than one, each additional one will be $1.00 extra S&H. I will eat the shipping costs above an beyond that cost along with the materials used. If I lose too much on it I will adjust those figures on future listings. International shipping is also available if you're willing to pay for it. I don't have it boxed up yet so I am only guessing at the total weight range for the shipping calculator. Thanks For Looking & Happy Bidding ! Please also check out my other current and future auctions. Never know what I might list next from 35-40 plus years of collecting and hoarding anything & everything plus the occasional  items like this that I sell for other people.
