Its attenuation performance provides 10 dB steps from 0 to 110 dB, with precision gold-plated leaf springs that ensure a long lifespan of over 5 million cycles and very high attenuator repeatability of typically 0.01 dB. NIST traceable data for SWR and attenuation is available as an option to improve measurement accuracy, while the maximum switching time of 20 ms speeds up automatic testing. Overall, the Keysight 8496H programmable step attenuator offers reliable and precise function in the DC to 18 GHz frequency range, with customizable options for step attenuator/switch combinations and programming connectors. Custom step attenuator/switch combinations can also be made possible, while interconnect kits like the Keysight 11716A/B/C can be used for easy connection of Keysight 8494/5/6/7 1 dB and 10 dB step attenuators in series, allowing for a greater dynamic range with 1 dB steps.
