For sale is an Oliver 5 typewriter. I Think that it was made somewhere around 1910.Mechanically, it has some issues. The return string is missing, the platen does not scroll when returned, and I cannot guarantee that the ribbon advance works. The keys stick occasionally, especially the "v" and you sometimes have to help the caps / function buttons. but I'm pretty sure that could be solved by some more oil. Cosmetically, it is in pretty good condition. I waxed the outside and cleaned some of the metal. There is still patina, minor discoloration to the paint, and some minor scratches, but it is pretty solid and has next to no rust that I saw. The case is included. It has some dents and discoloration, the handle is dead, and one of the locks has a small bend, but the case is solid and rust-free. I am asking for local pickup only, but I will consider shipping if you use Paypal and contact me. Please check with ebay's global shipping program for shipping rates outside of the country.
