 American ACMI , American Cytoscopic Manufacturers, Inc. ( Now GYRUS ACMI ) Sigmoidoscope model TX-91S. Fully operational with some fiber optic filament breaks as shown (see the not easy to take picture). Designed and used for internal medicine for obscure observations and surgery. Still fully functional and usable as it is. New fiber optical filament line can be repaired by returning it to Gyrus ACMI. This fiber scope could easily be utilized for other viewing uses that would be otherwise not possible. A standard automotive inflexible straight shaft bore scope cannot bend to view anything but straight out from its end. This flexible fiber optic bore scope allows viewing in almost any direction. This sigmoidoscope fiber scope flexible tentacle shaft end lens can bend over 90 degrees in any X - Y position by turning the two hand wheels on the optics body. All functions can be done with one hand while holding the optics body. Fluids or air can be administered directly at the viewed area via the optics head. It also has a biopsy tool access port tube extending to the lens tip. Excellent item for viewing hard to view mechanical mechanisms such as automotive transmission and engine components. A bore scope costs more and does far less by comparison. This scope will attach to most any fiber optic light source, supply or illuminator . The scope uses two separate fiber optical light transfer lines running within one single jacketed flexible tube. The eye piece is adjustable, much like that of a binocular for eye correction and focus. Originally costing thousands, now can be bought here cheap. It comes complete with the original ACMI latching enclosed hard case. 14 mm Diameter X 60 cm Length
