The E-style tool shape has a tip with a 60-degree angle ground to a sharp point for fine threading. It can also be used for chamfering, notching, and undercutting. The tool has a positive, 3-degree rake angle that provides a sharp edge for making continuous cuts and a neutral cutting direction for right-to-left or left-to-right feed. The tool has a C5 grade uncoated carbide tip, which provides good resistance to shock and wear for machining of steel and steel alloys.
