Amprobe AC50A AC Leakage Clamp Meter The Amprobe AC50A AC leakage clamp is a clamp multimeter that measures alternating current (AC) voltage, current, resistance, and continuity in electrical wiring. This average-sensing meter helps provide accurate readings when measuring linear loads with a current or voltage that has a sinusoidal waveform. The multimeter has a low-current range with 0.1mA resolution for use in applications requiring measurement of leakage and fault currents. A relative value measurement function determines current differentials. The unit measures AC voltage from 0 to 400V, current from 0 to 60A, and resistance from 0 to 400ohms. An audible beeper indicates circuit continuity. The multimeter is safety rated to European Standard 61010-1 Category II, 600V and Category III, 300V. The clamp jaw can accommodate cables up to 1.2in. (30mm) in diameter. The 3-3/4 digital LCD display includes an analog bar graph to display test results. A data hold function freezes the value on the display. The multimeter is powered by two AA batteries (included) and has an auto-power-off function that powers the unit down after 30 minutes of idle time. The AC50A is designed for use by electricians, electrical contractors, and mechanics. Specifications Power supply AA batteries (two, installed) AC voltage range 0 to 400V AC current range 0 to 60A Resistance range 0 to 40ohms Weight (including battery) 7oz./190g Safety standard met International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)/European Standards (EN) 61010-01 Cat II 600V and Cat III 300V Dimensions 7.2 x 2.5 x 1.4 inches /183 x 63.6 x 35.6mm (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, or leads connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meter choice includes the electrical properties to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings that correspond to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. An autoranging meter cycles through range settings automatically until it reaches the correct range. Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA.Whats in the Box?
