Up for bids is a Keller model 3C power hack saw serial number 25786 with cast iron leg set and the hard to find optional coolant tank and pump. This saw is for sale locally so the auction may end earlier than the listing states (once a bid is received I will cancel the local sale). I have seen these over the years but never with the original coolant tank and pump, I have already been asked if I will sell them separately and sorry, no I won't this is a complete working saw set up and I have no interest in parting it out. I did a fair amount of cleaning to it to inspect it for any damage or repairs and so that you can see the overall condition. The only two issues I found are shown in the last photos, the obvious damage to the fiberglass belt cover and a thin crack in the casting where the main arm bolts on. The belt cover just needs an automotive fiberglass repair kit and a paint job to make it functional and presentable (both mounting brackets were missing so I made up a couple that work but are not original to it). The crack in the casting does not affect the operation or strength of the saw and probably occurred when it was being lifted or moved at some point in it's life. I did not adjust the tension arm for the speed of the cut or the set screws for the gibs which should be looked at when you go to use it. The screw vise opens to 8-1/4" and the jaws are 3-1/2" high X 5" wide. The motor is a Robbins and Meyers 110 volt 1725 RPM 3/4 hp and the belt tension is set by the adjustable arm below it as shown in the pictures, the belt is good. The coolant tank is all steel 7" wide X 24" long X 6" deep and the pump runs quiet and works as it should, there is an adjustable petcock to adjust flow and the saw bed drains back to the tank no problem. The saw works good with no strange noises other than the sound of metal being cut by machinery using good old fashioned American ingenuity. Both the saw and coolant pump work with the single on/off switch and it does shut off when it finishes cutting. The on/off toggle type switch was a little sticky and intermittent so I replaced it with a new one. There are (7) spare blades included (a little dirty/rusty but usable) they are Atkins silver streak MS1414 which are readily available on Ebay. Overall it is 42" long X 34" high in the closed position and 14" wide, obviously it has been used and has some wear and cosmetic issues but it would be a great restoration project or to be used as it is. My only suggestion would be to set it on rubber pads or install levelers or locking casters these do have a tendency to walk a little while running. I have no idea of the weight but I would estimate it is easily over 200 pounds, the only things on it that are not cast iron or steel are the power cord, belt and the fiberglass belt cover.
