APAM, toggle switch, with versatile pole arrangement. This is a three position switch with two sets of SPDT contacts. Mounts in 1/4 inch panel hole or PC board mounting. One SPST is 1,2 and 3 with 2 the common. The other switch is 4,5 and 6 with 5 the common. In the top position both SPST switches are connected 1-2 and 5-4, in the center position the contacts are 3-2, and 5-4, in the down position the contacts are 3-2 and 5-6. By connecting 2 and 5 you have a SP3T switch with 2/3 common and 1, 3 and 6 the outputs. Note that in this configuration two poles are selected in one position, so diodes may be needed in some applications. By using the center and down positions, you have SPST with 4,5, and 6 and with center and top positions you have 1 2 and 3 as a SPST. Or you can wire it as a SPST center off by using 3 and 4 as the common and 1 and 6 as the output. I hope this is clear, if you have any questions just ask. What is it good for? Well I can think of a few things, like a three position meter switch in one toggle, for example three different voltage scales for a meter. This usually takes a rotary switch, which is much larger. Also this would be ideal for a two step turn on, such as filament then plate on, or half voltage, then full voltage. In addition, the switch can be mounted on a PC board with the 6 active and 2 grounded pins, or it can be panel mounted and the 6 active pins wired by wrapping the leads on to them. If you buy several, I will try to keep the weight down to save on shipping. These are in the original factory sealed poly envelopes in a factory box. If you buy all that are left I will include the box, which originally held 50 pieces.
