ombu   Home Findings Store - Handmade for you Argentina Alpaca Card Holder Item Description This alpaca cardholder is perfect for storing your business card, identity card or any type of card you need easy access to. Ideal for a gift, a piece that would give a beautiful touch to your desk.    Alpaca is a common name for a metal alloy, a combination of metals, of copper, nickel and occasionally other metals such as zinc, tin, lead or cadmium.  Because of its visual similarity to sterling silver, Alpaca is frequently used in jewelery. Its stainless finish makes the jewelery easy to clean, requiring only lemon juice or a mild soap to remove any marks or tarnishing. Alpaca is frequently used in South American jewelry companies and is used to create beautiful,  traditional and modern pieces, such as this bay leaf platter or tray.   These are a few tips to keep your ALPACA piece always shinning.   1. Do not use any industrial nor home-made products to clean silver, since ALPACA is not silver and they could be damaged.  2. To keep your ALPACA items clean as new, you may wash them with detergent and water.  This way, you will remove dirt and dust. Afterwards, you should dry it with a clean and dry cloth, the results should be to your satisfaction. 3. You may also use a mix of sodium bicarbonate with water, this is another home-made mix you may use to clean ALPACA. Do not forget to apply it over the rough parts of the piece if it has any since most dirt tends to accumulate there.  4. You may also use nuetral soap and luke water.  This is a traditional and easier way to your ALPACA objects and you should obtain good results. Remember to apply it all over the object and dry it very well after with a clean and dry cloth. If your ALPACA piece has other metals or wood or stones, make sure not to apply these mixes on to them since they could be damaged.
