ASAP LED READING LIGHT - NEW IN PACKAGE, NOS The next batter, who had a reputation for choking in critical situations, surprised everyone by knocking the ball out of the park on the first pitch. The home crowd went wild with excitement, while the visiting fans were stunned. As the hero of the moment rounded the bases, his teammates congratulated him at home plate, ready to celebrate their victory. However, that's where things took a turn. Being a baseball fan myself, I've always enjoyed the game. There's nothing quite like the excitement of watching a game live in the stadium. While I may not recall every single game I've seen, one game, in particular, has stuck with me over the years. I don't even remember which teams or players were involved, but the story goes something like this: Instead of the visiting team members leaving the field, the umpire, catcher, pitcher, and first baseman stayed put. It turns out that the batter had neglected to touch first base, making him out, and costing his team the game. Even though it was a devastating mistake, everyone learned a valuable lesson from it. Two teams were facing off against each other in a crucial game that would heavily impact the outcome of the pennant. As the game progressed, the visiting team managed to pull ahead, making it seem unlikely for the home team to come out on top. It wasn't until the bottom of the ninth inning that the home team started to turn things around. They managed to get three men on base with just two outs to go. ....AT FIRST BASE So, when we reach home plate, we will be judged based on whether we "touched" The same goes for our relationship with God. We might think we're doing everything right, living our lives by the golden rule, and doing good deeds, but if we fail to establish a personal relationship with Jesus, we've missed touching our first base. In other words, we might be out of the family of God. According to God's plan of salvation, we've all fallen short of His standards, and the penalty for that is spiritual death. However, God offers us a gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, who died for us and paid the penalty for our sins. We cannot earn salvation through good works; it is a gift we must accept. By receiving Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we become the children of God and are secured a place in His family.
