ASP Sterrad 50 Sterilization System Hydrogen Peroxide Gas Plasma Sterilizer ~Scroll Down for Additonal Pictures~ This Sterrad 50 Gas Sterilizer just came out of facility service. It was being used in August of 2014 according to the onscreen cycle history. Properly goes through the initial bootup and then reads "Vaporizer Temp. Failure" on the screen/printer. I dont have a clue what it will take to rectify this issue? I was unable to get the door open so that also an issue that will have to be addressed. It is possible there may be something of value stuck in the chamber? This system comes with the Sterrad 50 sterilizer, Operators Guide, Educational Manual, Troubleshooting Guide, several extra rolls of printer paper and a new printer cartridge. Everything is mounted to the original cart with locking wheels. I dont think it will take much to get this up and running for the right tech. This system weight 540 lbs and will require freight shipping. To give you some idea it will cost approximately $175.00 to ship to west locations and approximately $300.00 for east coast locations. The combined use of hydrogen peroxide vapor and plasma safely and rapidly sterilizes medical instruments and materials without leaving toxic residues. All stages of the sterilization cycle, including the plasma stage, operate within a dry environment at a low temperature, and thus the cycle is not damaging to compatible instruments sensitive to heat and moisture. The STERRAD 50 Sterilizer can be used for both metal and nonmetal devices, and can also sterilize instruments that have difficult-to-reach (diffusion-restricted) spaces, such as hinges on forceps. The system consistently provides a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6, as defined by FDA and international standards, for linical use on all allowed substrates within the limits of the claims for materials and geometries when used in accordance with the directions in this guide. CONDITION This system is complete and has not be scavenged or parts taken off that I can tell. It powers on and goes through the initial boot up, then displays and prints there is a "Vaporizer Temp. Failure, Call ASP Techinical Service". I am uaware of what it will take to get it up and running. I can not get the door to open so I have no idea what is inside or why it wont open?
