The AT&T RFG-RB 10MHz rubidium frequency standard comes equipped with an Efratom Rb oscillator and a reliable A.C. supply. Upon arrival, simply plug the unit into a 100-240VAC outlet, allow several minutes for the unit to fully power on, and begin utilizing the stable and precise 10Mhz output to replace the internal oscillators in your current devices for enhanced accuracy. All units have been adjusted to produce a high degree of accuracy using a GPS frequency standard and remain stable for extended periods. While the device remains accurate after 45 minutes, leaving it on for longer periods leads to the maximum level of stability, with a rubidium oscillator life expectancy ranging from 10-20 years. These AT&T RFG rubidium frequency standards feature dual 10MHz outputs - a buffered square wave connected to an SMA connector marked "TP" and a clean sine wave connected to two SMA connectors marked "J2" and "J4" wired in parallel, with the latter output reaching 1.5 volts peak when terminated with a 50? load. Throughout use, the accuracy of the RFG becomes more stable over time, reaching a maximum accuracy of a few parts in 10 to the -11. The graph displays a typical RFG Rb drift for a continuous 15-hour session, with a maximum drift of ±20 nanoseconds over 54,000 seconds. The accompanying A.C. power supply outputs 24VDC regulated at 2A, with current drawn decreasing to 0.5A once the unit reaches operating temperature. Upon powering on, the "TP" ("J1") connector produces a square wave output that may experience instability until the Efratom rubidium oscillator locks after roughly three minutes of use. The highly stable sine wave output is activated once the oscillator locks, producing an amplified and filtered signal that is useful for maintaining a highly precise 10Mhz standard. The RFG units are utilized but maintain good physical condition, with slight scuffs and dings present. However, the front panels remain clean and organized in the photos provided. The heat sinks are heavy, aluminum fins and come in both gold and white color variants, with the RFG units' dimensions measuring 3” high x 11” wide at the front x 8” deep and weighing approximately 7 pounds.
