In 1994, this lathe with all it's original accessories and crate, was found in a Sears New Jersey Warehouse. I'm the second custodian (since 2003). Over the years, it lost it's original crate, the three jaw chuck, cosmolin cover and it's new toy smell but it has never been mounted or used. I took the cross slide off to insure there was no rust or damage to the undercarriage, gears and half nuts. The ways are perfect, the spindle is perfect, has no play and turns smooth. All is as it should be. An old broken motor was used for illustration in a couple of the pictures only but is not part of the auction. It is hard to judge how someone will package something like this after they get paid. It has already been properly crated so the shipping costs are accurate. There will be no damage because of improper packaging. The crate is bullet proof. There are additional pictures and videos in my photobucket album. I kept it because it can cut both metric and standard threads but I'm making conversion gears for my heavy ten.
