If you demand optimum results but don't have the time to wait around to shred a few pages at a time, this shredder will be the ideal addition to your business or home office. Patented ShredSafe™ shuts off power during improper shredding. Cover completely closes off feed entry when not in use. Equipped with the Patented ShredSafe™ Active Safety feature, which power-offs the shredder during improper shredding (i.e. when foreign objects are forced into the paper feed entry). When not in use, the feed entry can be closed shut for added safety. This effectively wards off any accidents with small objects, children or pets from getting into the feed entry. The shredder's metallic silver color and moderate size (12.48 W x 8.90 L x 16.06 H inches) make it a tasteful and practical. Not only it’ll look great, but work great in your home or office. Bright LED status indicators along with Auto Start/Stop features allow for simple operation. A simple switch enables manual reverse and forward functions to avert and clear paper jams while the overload protection feature automatically halts and reverses when over 12 sheets of paper are fed within a single pass. Thermal protection ensures safe usage by regulating the machine from overheating during long shredding sessions. A built-in mechanism detects when the head unit is ajar or not properly installed onto the wastebasket, while a safety interlock switch cuts off shredding if the unit is accidentally knocked over (the shredder will not operate without its integrated wastebasket).
