Auto Zero Z Axis Spring-Loaded Touch Probe Plate allows for quick and precise setting of tools to different work heights. Just position the touch plate on top of your material, connect the alligator clip to your cutting tool, and run the provided macro in Mach3 (message for macro or create your own), it will slowly lower the Z axis until the tool makes contact with the touch plate and the indicator LED will light up. The system will automatically set the Z height to that of your work piece, making tool changes and stock changes faster and more reliable.The indicator LED can be used to check if the connection between the touch probe plate and the system is good or not, by touching the alligator clip to the touch probe plate before using it to prevent any damage to your tools. (LED light up = good connection, no LED = bad connection) The touch probe plate is milled from 6061-T6 aluminum (mill finish) with clear acrylic base to make sure there is no connection between the tool and the touch plate if you have metal table. As we all know that Mach3 and other software always overun  when using the touch plate and it could damage your tools. To prevent that, this touch probe plate features a spring loaded contact plate. We offer a stainless steel 1/2" x 3/4" spring and 4 stainless steel #10-24 screws. Product Specs: Cable length: 6 feets Diameter of touch plate contact surface: 1.5 inches Touch plate height: 1" +/- 1% Working voltage: 5Vdc (12Vdc also available, add note or message when place the order) Connector Style: 3.5mm Audio Connector Package include: 1 Touch probe plate with pre-soldered alligator clip & one 3.5mm Male to Male audio Connector. Caution: Please follow the wiring diagram carefully. Don't connect the signal (ring) wire directly to ground, otherwise the LED indicator will be burnt.
