This digital microscope enhances the resolution of an object or image, and has the ability to display an image on an integrated monitor. It is commonly used for quality control (QC) inspection, medical and scientific research, forensics, archaeology, forestry, and for printing and textile inspection. This compact, mobile microscope houses a monitor to view subjects, and operates in a variety of settings. In addition to its high magnification capabilities, the iLoupe XL2 uses four, white LED lights with adjustable brightness to control illumination. A complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) color image sensor manages noise reduction and image quality, and delivers high-resolution, 1600 x 1200 pixel images. The microscope includes inverse, grey, and emboss screen modes for additional object image effects. The microscope has two GB of flash memory, takes standard JPEG photos, records Audio Video Interleave (AVI) videos, and outputs images to a PC. It can also be used as a web camera. Included advanced application software measures object length, perimeter, angle, and area. The iLoupe XL2 microscope has a five-year body and lens accessories warranty, a one-year warranty for optical inspection accessories, magnifying lamps & task lighting, and a limited lifetime warranty for video inspection lenses (lens only). It has no video output. Its dimensions are 56 (h) x 26 (w) x 12 (l) mm, and it weighs 0.25 lbs. It works with a Li-battery 3.7-Volt/1700 mA power source for up to five hours of operating time with standby operating time of up to seven hours.
