 The Barricade® Flashing System – Conform® stretchable flashing and Ulti-Flash® premium butyl rubber flashing – offers outstanding moisture protection and the ultimate line of defense around windows and doors. When installed according to specifications shown in the Flashing System Installation Guide, this system provides a superior weatherproof seal for all window, door and skylight installations. Optimal vapor barrier Studies show that inadequate design and construction of flashings are responsible for a high percentage of window and door leaks. Poor design detail is one of the most common causes of building envelope defects and builder callbacks. When installed properly, Barricade Ulti-Flash and Barricade Conform intercept and direct the flow of water to designed drainage paths to prevent water from penetrating the building. Both Conform and Ulti-Flash have self-sealing properties that can stop leaks around fasteners that may later be driven through the adhesive. The Barricade Flashing System is a reliable, moisture protection solution with a host of benefits: Barricade Conform: Conform conforms easily around radii and corners because of its stretchability. Butyl rubber sealant provides maximum protection from water intrusion. Outstanding adhesion to wood and steel surfaces. Aggressive slower acting adhesive allows repositioning during installation. Easy release paper backing.
