For auction is one gorgeous vintage Picker brand x-ray three-drawer file cabinet in excellent original condition. It is painted a dark forest green and features a beautiful manufacturer's decal on the top. It has been thoroughly cleaned and waxed inside and out and is ready for use. The drawers open and shut smoothly, and new keys have been made for the lock. It measures 20.5" wide, 26.5" deep, and 52.5" tall. It can hold prints or documents up to 17.75"x15.5", and each drawer is divided into five sections; the front is 5" deep, the middle three are 4.5" deep, and the back section is 6" deep. The dividers are fixed and cannot be removed or adjusted. The stainless handles and label holders have been polished. There are a few scratches here and there, a couple small dents on the left side, and one dent toward the very top of one side with a little nick in the metal of the corner near it (see photos). Otherwise, this cabinet is in surprisingly fine shape for its age (c. 1940s). This cabinet would be perfect for storing (in addition to x-rays) small prints (framed or unframed), posters, large magazines, newspapers or other ephemera. Could even fit LP records. SHIPPING: Due to the size of this piece, it will ship freight, though it is also available for free local pickup. Will deliver within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area for $40. Please request a shipping quote prior to bidding, making note of whether it is a commercial or residential delivery, the zip code it's shipping to, and whether a lift gate or inside delivery is required at the destination. Can also ship to a freight terminal and get picked up there to save additional money. A ballpark freight rate for a piece such as this is around $250.
