Up For Sale Today Is A: CO2 conversion kit for the Tap-A-Draft Home Brew Dispensing System (not the older 8 gram system), as well as the Miller/Coors Home Draft and the Carling Home Draught beer dispensers. The Tap-A-Draft dispenser is meant to be used repeatedly and is geared toward the home brew enthusiast. Although the Miller/Coors/Carling dispensers are primarily sold with beer in retail outlets and labeled for single use only, they can be used repeatedly with this system as well. This conversion kit works by eliminating the use of 16-gram disposable co2 cartridges in the dispensers listed. We utilize an adapter that screws into the port where the 16g cartridge would normally go, and comes with all the connectors and hoses you will need to connect up to two dispensers to your regulated co2 source. This source can be a 5lb or larger co2 cylinder, but is most useful as a small, inexpensive, portable system. We like to use a 12oz. paintball co2 tank connected to a co2 regulator with the use of an adapter. The paintball tanks are inexpensive ($12-$20) and can be purchased at many paintball outlets and retail stores such as Wal-Mart, Dick's Sporting Goods and also online at e-bay. The connectors are push-on type and NSF approved. Just push the hose into the connector to make a waterpoof connection. They may also be easily disconnected. Why use NSF approved connectors? Those cartridges purchased online can cost about $3.00 each (including freight) or $63.00. for 21 cartridges. The 12oz. paintball tank can be filled at Dick's Sporting Goods for $4.00. That is a savings of $59.00. You can also save a great deal of time by cleaning & sanitzing only 3 - 6L (1.5 gal.) instead of 54 - 12oz. bottles and caps. You can also use 3L soda pop bottles, a 5L mini-keg (adapter needed), most screwtop growlers, or any container using a 38mm screwtop closure. Not included in the kit are the dispensers, a CO2 tank, Regulator (Harbor Freight sells one and you can usually find a discount coupon in most local newspapers.), and an adapter to fit between the CO2 tank (paintball) and the regulator.
