For Sale: BEST UPS / Generator Transfer Switch (manual) This transfer switch was removed from service in working condition to allow for a larger switch to be installed. This would be perfect for a home or cabin installation where automatic switching is not needed or desired. This switch gives you time to set up your portable generator and get it running and then transfer the load to the generator for the duration of your power outage. The switch will isolate your home wiring from the power lines and allow you to feed your breaker panel with up to 100 Amps / 120/240 VAC power. Pretty foolproof. The switch prevents backfeeding the power lines with generator power and allows you to manually determine when to switch to generator or back to utility power. There are a few knockout holes already punched for conduit or flex entrance to and from the switch. If the holes you need are not in the right place, they can be plugged with knockoput hole plugs and you can choose from several other pre-punched knockouts. This switch is in very clean internal condition, with proper wiring diagrams included in the cabinet. It is designed to be mounted on a wall near your breaker panel. Depending on the size of your generator, you can selectively decide to switch off unimportant breakers, but keep the refridgerator, TV, lights, furnace, etc. running. Cabinet is made of heavy guage steel and has large well labeled handles with self explanatory operating functions.
