You are bidding on 12 Black/Blue Austalorp hatching eggs.  All eggs are collected daily, unwashed and turned twice daily until shipped. Approximately 60 to 70 % of the chicks should be Blue as that is what I am currently hatching myself. I have 30 hens with 6 Roosters that are pastured free range.  It is hard to find Blue Australorps and has taken me 3 years to breed a decent size flock.  Each year I cull birds and breed for color and type.  I am breeding for true utility size (not Show), color (blue to smokey blue) and egg production,  The roosters have a nice large looping tail feathers and of large size 9 lbs, good size wattel.  The hens are are of good size 5 -7 lbs fine feather in the vent area and also a decent wattel!    I am very pleased with the quality of the birds I am breeding.   I cannot guarantee your  hatch rate as I don't control your incubator, but I have a 80 - 90 hatch rate. The Australorp I raise are great layers and easy going behavior.   Next spring, I will be selling Blue Australorps chicks, staight run (male & female)   .
