This speaker is intended to be installed in a wall or ceiling. Ceiling tiles would be the most common installation. It has an unusual and innovative simple installation system. The packaging claims (realistically) that it can be installed in seconds with no tools. The mounting studs are able to penetrate a ceiling tile. Plastic wing nuts are included to secure the speaker. Those studs then double as a wiring terminals and wire nuts are also included. There is a jumper on the back of the speaker to select whether it is attached to a 25 or 70 volt amplifier. There is a rotary switch on the back of the speaker to select .25, .5, 1, 2, or 4 watt output. The instructions that are included explain how many speakers will be needed for a given room size, ceiling height, and ambient noise level. They also explain which watt setting to use. The case of the speaker is lightweight and durable The visible part of this speaker is white and is paintable. A volume control (wire-wound) is accessible on the face of the speaker. An innovative design delivers superior sound coverage and dispersion.
