Everyone has a biscuit separator. We use a butter knife to do it. Then we use that same knife to spread butter, jam, honey or molasses on them. But joining biscuits is a different story. For that you need a plate biscuit joiner. Actually, that description is misleading. You can't use this tool to join plates or biscuits. It's really a wood joiner and you use glue and little wooden biscuits to get the job done. So if you need to join some wood and need a tool like this, here's a good deal for you. This Bosch B1650 plate biscuit joiner is in decent shape. We've had a it a while and used it maybe a dozen times. This tool is definitely not a Freud, but it gets the job done. The only annoyance with this tool is that the adjustment takes some fiddling and you really have to tighten the wing nuts down so they don't loosen. If you are going to join biscuits all day, this will get tiring. But if you need to do that, you should buy the Freud. But if you only join biscuits at breakfast, or at some other infrequent interval, this is a good tool at a good price. Comes in a steel carry case with an assortment of biscuits and the special biscuit cut-out glue bottle, which is all glued up. UPS Ground shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states.
