On offer is a 9 inch plated carabiner rebar-style safety hook. It has a double-acting spring-loaded gate. Part #S-3612 with a manufacturer's mark of AU.These are not Chinese junk as I don't buy Chinese. Gate strength is 3600 lbs., hook strength is 10660 lbs. ANSI Z359.12 CE0321 EN362:2004/A CSA Z259.12 I had over 150 of these new. We did architectural salvage and we had several hundred of these in a drum in storage. Over the years we have only used a portion of them and we are winding down our business. Some of these are dusty and scuffed and the plating is no longer shiny, but there are wear marks and scuffs etc from rubbing from riding in a truck or in a drum. They are not as perfect as the photo. You can see in the photo where I tested the safety catch and it made rub marks on the galvanising. Mechanically they are perfect.Of course the price reflects their cosmetic limitations. I will gladly combine postage and up to 2 will fit in a small Priority box and up to ten will fit in a medium Priority box. Request an invoice if you are buying multiples and I'll make sure you get the maximum postage savings. PS Every time I sell one of these I feel guilty because of the scuff marks and wear marks on the high points. The galvanizing is discolored sometimes and even hints of oxidation on an exposed edge. That said- they are mechanically perfect and I warrant them to be so and they are priced very well, so maybe not so guilty. Just important that the customer be clear on what they're getting and everyone is satisfied. I use them and I really have come to enjoy my own company (a private conversation between one idiot) so you can probably use them safely as well. UPDATE: I got so self-conscious about the appearance I touched them up with some aluminum spray paint. Now they look great and work great. Successfully resisted the temptation to raise the price.
