Atmospheric chemical vapor deposition system for the growth of carbon nanotubes. Features: - Thermcraft 6" tube furnace with custom quartz tube for carbon nanotube growth. - Semiconductor grade gas panel for control of Ar, C2H4, H2, and H2O/Ar flows. - Recipe based process control for automatic step-based control of temperature and gas flows. - Manual sample load and unload. Capabilities: - Multiwalled carbon nanotube (CNT) growth system using hydrocarbon feedstocks. - Baseline process conditions for CNT growth are supplied with the system. - CNT growth on substrates up to 10 cm by 10 cm in area. - Demonstrated CNT growth rates up to 15 micron per minute. - Furnace is capable of maximum temperature of 1100C.
