This binocular microscope has an inclined head that can rotate to be used in any horizontal direction and comes with Zeiss 8X eyepieces. The optics of this microscope give a sharp, high-contrast image. Moreover, it would make an amazing gift for any scientist, young or old, to have an authentic experience over a cheap Chinese toy. The circular base of the microscope comes with an illuminator and a halogen light, controlled by a knob on the right side of the base to regulate the illumination. This Carl Zeiss microscope model KF 2 comes with a set of four genuine objective lenses, including 3.2X/0.07, 10X/0.22, 40X/0.65, and 100X/1.25 (oil immersion), all designed for 160 mm tube length and 0.17 mm cover glass thickness. This precision instrument is perfect for any laboratory or research challenges. Cosmetically, the microscope is in good condition, with touch-ups on the damaged head's finish. Although the transportation of the bulb cannot be guaranteed, it has a good track record of arriving without damages. The spring-loaded 40X and 100X lenses can be retracted to prevent any damage to the lenses or slides.
