Shatter resistant plastic sleeves protect fluorescent lamps from dust, moisture, and accidental breakage. These polycarbonate sleeves are ideal for use in retail, manufacturing, food service, art galleries, and libraries. The fluorescent light bulb guard is four feet long and has a tubular shape to cover fluorescent lights. It is made of clear plastic that slips easily around fluorescent tubes to retain shattering glass if the tube breaks. In many instances, fluorescent bulb guards are now required over food preparation areas to prevent glass from contaminating food in case of accidental breakage. Make work areas safe with the use of fluorescent bulb guards. Designed for T8 bulbs. These tube guards may be used only with: 1. T8 lamps driven by electronic ballasts that are designed to prevent overheating at the end of the lamp's life. 2. T8 lamps driven by electromagnetic ballasts
