CATERPILLAR SR4 3412 GENERATOR SET LOW 1020 HOURS ~~ Please read the description below the photographs ~~ ~~ Please refer to the photos for more details regarding this generator ~~ This listing is for a used Caterpillar SR4 470KW standby generator. This is for the SR4 generator and 3412 set (everything on the skid) only. The other equipment (ask) is pictured to show the application. This generator has only 1020 hours on it! That's roughly 33 hours per year since it was installed. This generator set was purchased in December, 1982. It has been in the same location since it was delivered to the site. We also believe this generator was housed in the pictured cinder block enclosure from day one. There is no evidence of exposure to the elements. It was degreased and cleaned in late July of 2013. Note that the original control panel is not being used in this application. At some point it was replaced with a Katolight Digital Genset Controller (see pic). The generator set is mounted on an I-beam skid, as pictured, and can easily be removed from the enclosure for shipping. Please see the metal spec label in the pictures for specifics regarding voltages, etc. All maintenance on this generator was performed by the original vendor, Milton Cat of Vermont. Recent maintenance includes replacement of the radiator and fan. Also, the water pump was replaced at some point in the past. This generator was fired up and tested today (8/7/13) and is in good running condition. The oil was recently tested (for contamination, anti-freeze, etc.) and the test came back clean. We can provide the buyer with a copy of the test if requested. This equipment is available for local pickup or we can arrange freight shipping.
