This listing is for a VINTAGE IN ORIGINAL CASE, CENTRAL TOOL COMPANY MICROMETER SET. Numbers on the Micrometer are 0"-4". The Outer of the Dark Brown Case is Fairly Trashed, meaning is shows quite a bit of wear & tear; the "fabric" is torn & scuffed; the Case is Wooden. The Gold Embossed Print is also very faded. The Hinges to the Case are GOOD, so the items inside are Safe & Secure. The Case closes evenly & tight. There are Gold-Tone Hardware "Slide" locks on the front that work. The Set inside appears to be COMPLETE. The items are in a Black "Velvet" cushion type material & the items fit snugly into the respective placements. We cannot tell you what the parts are, so please look at the many excellent photos taken for you to have a good look at these items. The items are used with some wear to the pieces--light to major scraping/scratches to the pieces, the items are heavy & solid. There is what the large piece(the Micrometer?) that is 8 1/2" long at the top; the "curved" part is 5 1/2" across & 1/2" thick. 0"-4" is written on a small oval metal piece on the item. CENTRAL TOOL CO. CRANSTON, R.I., U.S.A. & the numbers 0, 20, 15, 10, 5 are imprinted on the upper part of the Micrometer. Looking at the PHOTOS of the Items in the Box, there are 3 pieces in slots above the Micrometer; they are 1", 2" & 3" long. There are 4 pieces next to the Micrometer. 3 pieces fit in slots, there is a 3 1/2" long piece that looks like it is a "fitted" piece. There is no "slot" for the piece, but it came in the box with the items. It may or may not go with the Set. The pieces were "lubed" at some time & do have some "grease residue" & smell like a "machine shop." Please be forewarned! The Case is 10" x 5" x 1 1/4". The Gold Print is very faded: CENTRAL TOOL COMPANY AUBURN. R.I. CERTIFIED ACCURACY. Excellent Collectable that is also useful!
