CEO Inc. Laser System Controller Driver Unit ex-R&D and Tested LCU Exterior SAB & Internals DESCRIPTION The Smart Analog Board (SAB) is a complete driving and monitoring solution for laser diodes. The SAB is capable of pulsed, CW, and Quasi-CW, operation. Drive currents of 50A CW and 200A pulsed are available. Diode bias voltages up to 500VDC can be achieved. Facilities for detection of a multitude of fault conditions protect both the array and the driver. An onboard microprocessor allows versatile interfacing to the SAB. Selection of analog control, analog-digital mixed mode control, and full digital mode control is possible. Digital interfaces include RS-232, RS-485 and Controller Area Networking (CAN). HISTORY This LCU unit and internals from the Model 2900 series were repackaged in a reduced profile in order to operate an Nd:YAG laser application within a space restrictive environment. In addition, it is ideally suited for use within the Pulzar Z1 Refractive Laser. The LCU functionality and operation was tested on 05/2013. See above CRO snapshot of LCU running at 300Hz with a pulse width of ~270μs @ 35A. The unit is in excellent condition and is being sold "AS IS".
