Make me an offer! Free US shipping! This is a very rare scintillator plus photodiode module assembly made to be used in XRF machines, and used for the identification and detection of Special Nuclear Material. It is like the guts of my GammaRae detector packs i offered, except the PD is bigger and the CsI:Tl crystal is thinner meaning it would be best for lower energy gamma or x-ray detection. The crystal is approximately 15x16x3mm thick. It has a high quality PIN photodiode coupled to a cesium iodide (thallium doped) scintillator. The cesium iodide crystal is spectrometric grade and can be used for XRF applications. If you want the "expensive detection parts" of an xrf machine here you go. To make a simple geiger like detector with this all you need is a couple transistors, a few resistors, a capacitor, and an LED or pezio speaker. With an op amp and some more parts you can build yourself a super sensitive scintillation counter that will best most commercially made geiger counters, and preserve the pulse height data so it could be analyzed with a simple sound card based MCA module. Build a working XRF machine on a budget! If you need these here you go. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.
