Free US shipping! This is a cesium iodide crystal that has been modified to make green light output for photodiode read out. It is a 35x7x4mm Cesium Iodide scintillation crystal bonded to a flouroconverter material that changes the light output to green. The green flouroconverter trades a little bit of the sensitivity for better speed so you can use a discrimination device with it. This assembly is best for special use counting applications. This crystal isn't very hygroscopic like sodium iodide, but you should pack it in something to protect it anyway. It can even be read out using even a cheap PIN photodiode such as the BPW-34. The raw crystals alone sell for over a hundred dollars each, and are very hard to find. This value added component will make your project a lot simpler than trying to use a raw crystal with your photodiode. Note this is an engineering prototype, not a commercial product. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.
